Crusaders Beyond

"Crusaders Beyond" is the new, and annual, streaming feature in which we will follow a different Northwest Christian varsity sports team throughout the season. From the grueling preseason workouts to the eventual, and inevitable, post-season achievement or the agony of defeat. Viewers will hear from coaches and players as they get the chance to watch high school athletes playing up close. Season 1, Crusaders Beyond: The Gridiron, features our varsity football program.

Season 1

Crusaders Beyond: The Gridiron is a documentary series following the Northwest Christian School football team through one unforgettable season.

A small private school in Phoenix, Arizona, NCS lines up in 4A football despite having the enrollment numbers of a much smaller program. Every week, the Crusaders carry the underdog banner into battle — outnumbered on paper, but never outworked.

Across the season, the series captures the grind of practices in the desert heat, the strategy of coaches adapting to a small roster, and the spirit of players who often play on both sides of the ball. It also dives into the human stories behind the game: triumphs, setbacks, and the unshakable bonds of faith and family that hold the program together.

From devastating injuries to Friday night lights, Crusaders Beyond: The Gridiron shows what it means to fight for more than just a scoreboard — to play for each other, for their school, and for the One they honor above all.
NCS is a private Christian school with a mission to provide an educational program which upholds high standards of scholastic and behavioral excellence and furnishes instruction in Bible-based Christian faith.
